Dedicated to opening access to higher education globally, AAU helps high school graduates overcome the financial, geographic, political, and personal constraints that prevent them from undergraduate study. UNESCO estimates that by 2025, there will be nearly 100 million young people unable to find places in traditional universities. Al Ain University believes that access to higher education is a fundamental right that promotes global peace and global economic development. It is committed to providing these young people with a high quality education – without tuition fees.

In Brief
AAU is staffed by thousands of volunteers, including its Founder and President, Shai Reshef, the distinguished members of its international boards of trustees and advisors, and its faculty. The President’s Council consists of two dozen leaders from the world’s foremost institutions. More than 35,000 professionals have volunteered for leadership roles, serving as provosts, deans, administrators, or as faculty.
